Hiya,
Question. If you are made redundant on 31st May before the LG pay award is agreed. Do they recalculate your pre 2008 pension when it is with the new salary?
Thanks

they will, but you may have to ask them to after the pay award has been settled. They may not do it automatically and you probably need to contact your previous employer first so they can pass the info to the pensions admin section0

Setting aside the pension. You will have to claim the pay award from your employer once it is announced. They (well mine) does to send it on the staff that have left automatically.0

Sorry if I confused. I meant Pension only as I know you have to request for the Pay Award for your salary if you leave before it’s agreed. (If your LA don’t automatically process it). It’s was more for the Pension side of things, the automatic lump sum for pre 2008 etc
thanks for the replies.0 -
Only if your ex employer forwards the details to your LGPS. Some need a push.
Note: If your pre 2014 final salary had been calculated using a 'best year' figure, then your pay rise probably won't change your final salary pension/lump sum - just add a bit to your CARE pension.
