Opinions of Magi-cool products

Has anyone used these Magi-cool (sp) products and are they worth buying?
I just watched a tv ad about a spray and as we head to Florida in a couple of weeks I wondered if it was worth trying. I'm sure I applied for something as a freebie last year but didn't get it.

I got some free samples of this last year and we took it with us when we went to Florida in October. We thought it was great and used it all the time. I would definitely recommend it.0

We had a sample last year and I liked it, so bought one. Since then we haven't actually used it as much as I thought we would. I tried to spray it round the car on hot days but wasn't convinced it made much difference, even though that was one way they suggested using it. Maybe I was too mean to use enough!
I really bought it because DH overheats, he has eczema, but he rarely uses it because it says not to use it on broken skin, and his usually is.
I was planning to take it into hospital with me but my patient leaflet says no aerosols.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I bought something similar (in the local Savers or pound shop) much cheaper - might be worth a look? The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0

I bought some when I was preggers and actually dug it out last night as my feet were SO hot in bed.
TBH it's not much different to a cold water spray, where you spray it on and get a blast of cold water, then it evaporates in 10 seconds and you're hot again.
The Magi-cool stuff smells nice and stays cold in hot weather but it IS fairly expensive. The one difference between it and water spray is that it's less 'wet'...ie: the spray is so fine that it doesn't leave everything soaked (it does leave things damp though)Just run, run and keep on running!0 -

I agree with that. I bought a couple of cans yesterday and I probably wont bother to buy any more when i've used them. You may as well use a plant sprayer filled with waterSame old same old since 20080 -
I bought this one last week. Personally I didn't like it. The Evian one is better - has no perfume in it and seems to be more cooling. None of them work for long tho!0

A lot of shops in the states sell a little fan with a water bottle attached so you can get a spray of water, they were only a couple of quid and reusable.0

Before I got that I was using a plant spray bottle at regular intervals!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Savers do a similar thing for 89p - rather than the £6 you pay for magicool
however, i agree the Evian one works best, really cold, and not too wet - but again at £7 a can, i wouldnt say it was worth the extra you pay, compared to the 89p one0
