Yes I would ignore and just look out for a court claim.

BW Legal don't always follow through. I have two LOCs from them in my drawer from years ago.
Okay, perfect. Thank you so much for the quick reply. :)

    Hey guys,

so something weird is going on.

We received yet another Letter of Claim from BWLegal in the mail today. Odd, right?

And then I noticed something, so I sorted through all letters we have received since the beginning of this:

We received letters dating back to 16th November 2024:

1x from CPM UK Car Park Management for the "Obstructive Parking" for Bike w/ Number Plate ABCDEFG with issue date 19th October 2024

Following 4x Letters from Debt Recovery Plus for the same "Issue" and Bike w/ Number Plate ABCDEFG, between 08/01/2025 and 25/02/2025 with Parking Charge issue date 30/09/2024

After that the first BWLegal, a Letter of Claim, arrived, BUT w/ date of Contravention 03/02/2023 and our car Number Plate 1234567 and "Client Reference ABC123"

Then we received another BWLegal on 22/08/2025, Date of Contravention 30/09/2024, again Bike Number Plate ABCDEFG, but "Client Reference DEF456"

    Now it gets interesting:

We received a reminder paying letter from BWLegal on 18/09/2025, Date of Contravention 06/12/2024, for our Car, Number Plate 1234567, now for the reason of "Not displaying a Valid Permit" (which isn't true as the permit is like "glued" to the front screen to be visible even from afar). But with "Client Reference GHI789"

So for the "Not displaying a valid parking permit" we never received any letters from CPM or Debt Recovery Plus. Mind you, we are living at the Estate since 2023 and the car was displaying a parking permit from day one of moving, as well as the V5C being registered with the same date of moving.

And today, 04/10/2025 we received yet another Letter of Claim, Date of Contravention 30/09/2024, for Bike, w/ Number Plate ABCDEFG with "Client Reference JKL012"

    So to recap:

CPM issued "Obstructive Parking Charge" in October 2024, we received "proof" in form of pictures with the letter of the bike in question.
We received Debt Recovery Plus letters also for the bike.

And we received BWLegal letters first for the car, as it turns out for something we didn't even know anything about because the first Letter of Claim from them did only mention the car but never the reason for the charge in the first place. Following letters about the bike, then car again and then a Letter of Claim for the Bike. And with totally different dates as well, 19/10/2024, 30/09/2024, 03/02/2023 and 06/12/2024 , FOUR different Client References and on top of that, none of that is in order.

To be honest, I feel this kind of confusion is deliberate but it would also be highly in our favour in case this goes to court, because BWLegal can't make up their mind, for what we are actually charged and what Client and Reference they are actually referring to!?

Anyway, I will not react to that Letter of Claim either and see what happens. At this point I actually WANT a Judge to see this.

    Have a great weekend everyone.
