Apologies if this has been asked previously…I’m sure it will have been but can’t find the right thread.
As a newbie I’ve started entering competitions with gusto but have not been signing up to newsletters etc. What is everyone’s thoughts on this - could it affect your chances of winning if you don’t sign up/subscribe??

In most cases it should not affect your chances, if the signup is optional. However, many competitions require a mandatory signup before you are entered. Most of the time you will be able to cancel that subscription at any time via the Unsubscribe option on emails received, but some competitions will require you to still be subscribed at the time the competition ends. Need to check the rules for each one.1

I'd recommend setting a dedicated email address that you use just for comps so you can sign up without your normal address getting spammedMarch 25 - Aphrodisiac Chocolates £30 big table voucher
April 25 - £5 Starbucks voucher0 -
That is what i have a separate comping email with yahoo where i get hundreds of emails a day from all those newsletters. You just need to scan through them to check for a winning email before deleting them all.0
