You can already take a test in an EV, so I think the answer is no.0

Why would it???1

Whilst it does not need to change people need to remember they will only be getting a Category 8 license IE restricted to auto's so a bit restrictive.1

So if you have a ev test you would be unable to drive anything with a manual gear box .0

Teeny concern I have, which may be irrelevant, I'm not sure, but it's about muscle memory and braking.
Having learn't many decades ago, and driven many manual cars, I like everyone else I suspect, naturally flicks the right foot to the brake when things get hairy fast. You don't think "I need to move my foot to the brake", you just do it.
But now I'm driving BEV's with good to excellent one-pedal driving. In fact driving a Tesla, I rarely need to use the brake pedal, it almost feels like a fail if I use the brake pedal. Other BEV's with smaller batteries, will need a bit more use of the brake, but still far less.
So ...... will someone learning in a big battery BEV with strong regen and solid one-pedal driving, develop that same natural response to using the brake ..... sorry, can't word this well, the natural need to get the right foot over to the brake pedal, without even thinking about it, developing an instinctive response IYSWIM?
Maybe I'm pondering, wondering and worrying over nothing?Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.1 -

The driving skills I grew up with are disappearing faster than ever - left foot braking, double de-clutching, clutchless changes, heel-toe downshifts.4kWp (black/black) - Sofar Inverter - SSE(141°) - 30° pitch - North LincsInstalled June 2013 - PVGIS = 3400Sofar ME3000SP Inverter & 5 x Pylontech US2000B Plus & 3 x US2000C Batteries - 19.2kWh1 -
