Hi
I have been waiting for my debts to default so that I can look at putting a self managed DMP together. One of my debts, which was 118Money was sold to Lantern, who have now instructed Moriarty Law to start proceedings.

I have received what looks to be a letter before claim with a reply form I have to return in 30 days. The email also has a link to set up a payment plan, if I do a payment plan do I still have to respond to the reply form?
Thanks

Is it a letter received by snail mail or just an E Mail?If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0

Both, but I binned the snail mail thinking I could do everything online.0

Respond to the letter, you need to find that form or else they may obtain a judgement against you.

Thanks Sourcrates. Well the letter does say the following -
“Please respond to this letter within the next 30 days by either visiting our website to arrange payment, calling 0203 126 4544, filling out and sending the enclosed forms to the address or e-mail above or arranging payment using one of the methods detailed overleaf.”
I am reading this as a list of options - one of which is visiting their website to arrange payment. Or maybe this is just if I pay in full. Not sure!0 -
Sorry to ask a question on someone else’s thread, but I thought they cannot start legal action unless an account has defaulted? Can you receive a CCJ whilst waiting for defaults?0

You can print off a new Reply Form from gov.uk here https://www.justice.gov.uk/documents/debt-pap.pdf
Also think about making an affordability complaint to 118, not to Lantern/Moriarty Law0
