Thanks, Cloud_dog. My scheme is the same wrt indexation, but not sure about partial indexation in the first year of retirement.0

They're all different...my deferred (private co) one uses Sep RPI and applies it from the following Jan 1st when in payment.
It also grows in deferment at a higher rate while still employed (CPI max 5% + 1%) and after leaving (CPI max 2.5%)......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
They certainly do all sound very different. Mine is pretty much 50% NRA of 60 and 5% RPI cap, 50% NRA 65 and 2.5% cap. It is shown together (because it is one DB pension) and you can get an accurate live quote anytime. You can also ask to take the different sections at different times. I’ll be taking the lot 3/8 years early and fully understand the reduction factors….on the flip side I won’t need to work! I know when exactly when I’ll be ‘worse off’ using some basic assumptions which none of us know.
I still see a lot of people don’t even look at theirs and work to 65 because they think that is the done thing, regardless of their financial position. Certainly at our place anyway.0
