Spanish pension

Hi. Just wondering if anyone has had experience of aggregating years of UK contributions to reach Spanish minimum periods for claiming a Spanish state pension?
I am particularly interested in knowing if the so called "freebie years" or juvenile credits given until 2010 are taken into account by Spain.
I have about 35 and a half years of Spanish contributions and if they are taken into account I can retire at 65.
Thanks for your help

My understanding is that UK weeks (NI is a weekly charge) simply feed into the aggregation calculation. It matters not whether they are paid mandatorily, voluntarily or some sort of credits. That is certainly the position for the German pension and I am not aware of people having issues in Spain.1
