I am in receipt of ESA. Monthly payments which I have received from my occupational pension have increased as they do every year. Usually I receive a stern (sometimes threatening) letter from DWP advising me that they know that my pension has increased and that I should inform them when it increases. I only discovered that my pension increased today and I phoned DWP today and was left on hold for an hour before the call was disconnected. I am trying again now- I think it's been about 50 minutes. I wonder if my call will disconnect after an hour or if I'll get through

After I'd waited for well over an hour my call was finally answered and I informed the DWP agent about my increase (an increase of £13.41 month) and, in order to provide evidence of this vast increase, she demanded that I send, to the DWP, a copy of a "recent bank statement" - and if I fail to do this I "could be charged."0

This sounds more like a benefits topic than a pension one?
