State Pension

Hi,
Later this year I am returning to the UK permanently from down under, my state pension has been frozen since I've been here. My question is, will my pension be increased to the normal rate instantly upon my return to the UK, or is there a waiting period? I rang the International Pension Centre and the person I spoke to sounded as if they didn't want to answer my question and was very vague.
Thanks.

It’s from your return date. My parents came back from abroad a couple of years ago and there was a delay but they got their new amount backdated.0

Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0
