COPE - State Pension
Comments

You've just posted a copy on this forum....£230.25 a week is your projected amount. What does the text immediately following that say - it'll either say you can't improve your forecast any more, OR words to the effect that you need to contribute another x years of NI contributions.CosmoChic said:
I'm definitely a dunce on this .... I don't know where to find the amount accrued .... is it on the Gov.uk site?Dazed_and_C0nfused said:
What about the amount of State Pension you have actually accrued though?CosmoChic said:@Dazed_and_C0nfused it says like most people I was contracted out.
@molerat thank you for that link. It does say exactly what it said before!
@marcon and @p00hsticks thank you so much for your very informative responses!!
You are all absolute stars. Again, thank you all
You seem to be expecting a low amount. Which, from what you have posted, is highly unlikely
Sorry for being such a dullard!
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
Then you've got your answer, and it's a happy one! You have already built up your entitlement to a full new state pension when you get to state pension age - and of course you'll have years of private pension provision to add to your income.CosmoChic said:Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!2 -
Are you pleased to discover your fears were completely unfounded, getting £230.25/week is presumably a pleasant surprise 😀CosmoChic said:
I don't expect to get much of a state pension as I was contracted out almost all of my working life, but it would be nice to know how much, or realistically how little, I will receive.
