Dunelm is our usual choice. Have bought some from Sainsbury's & they're OK

I've realised the better ones I already have were from Matalan so I'll probably go back there and see if they still sell them.
    Cheers

I'm still using John Lewis ones bought 23 years ago. Would buy again but these ones still working, wash after wash after wash. Don't know if the quality of John Lewis is still as good today.

The trouble is nothing is the quality they used to be, and I dont think anywhere has proper quality control.  Its cheaper to just rely on customers returning and a lot of busy working buyers will just accept the shoddy items or bin them.

I use emolients and have broken skin regularly,  so do my towel wash at 90, and despite that,  the old asda ones just keep going on.  But the last couple I bought just caught runs and pulls on first wash so took them back.

We were given some older dunelm ones for the dog, and ignoring the mud they are still good and thick, so impressed with the quality I ordered some new ones,  but they were nothing like the quality so returned them too.  I set out to buy 2 x 4 sets of plates and bowls from them this year, but I had to buy 4 sets to make up 2 good ones. So many seconds mixed in.    I doubt that once items have been approved for stocking, that anyone ever checks again.

I bought a load from Wilko when I had my bathrooms redone, based on (i) colour, (ii) price and (iii) free delivery.

This is a cautionary tale: they are NOT good quality.

Sadly my 30 year old ones are going better (.from.JL) than any bought from bhs, maralan, habitat and JL since.
