Morning Gers and all to follow
I have just started the thread as well but I think you were a bit before me so let’s go with this one.
Looks to be a nice day here although still chilly off to work with Rob at the cafe today and I think there is an Easter egg hunt this afternoon which should be fun Rob will love it.
I am very much looking forward to a four day weekend and not being woken by an alarm I am not naturally an early riser.
Dinner tonight will be something with chips I think nice and easy it seems to have been a long week.
WM is on and I will hang the washing before I leave.
Gers hope yesterday went well xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -

Looks like a good day, I'm going on the walk this morning.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.13 -

It’s chilly outside but dry I’m going to hang some washing out before I go . Themking and queen are at Durham today it’s about 20 minutes from me and I know a lot of people who are going hoping to catch a glimpse of them . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing13

Morning folks and thanks GERS. A lovely start for us, blue sky and sunshine. We keep missing the forecast rain as it didn't happen again yesterday.
Not much worth mentioning this morning (but there rarely is these days) I have the Covid booster late morning so will have time for a quick clean of the Thursday kitchen and bathroom clean before I go. I have a little list of essentials to get afterwards. Then home for a late lunch. I have a bit of pate to eat up so that on crackers with a bit of salad and a mug of soup will put me on until teatime. I am fancying fish with some air fryer chips or wedges I think.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"14 -
Morning all. The sun's shining here so I've put some washing in the machine.
Today I want to go to MK to check out a few things in M&S and elsewhere. I also have a top to return by post as it's too big so will need to check online how to do that. Not sure I want the same top in a smaller size so will just get a refund. DH is making shepherd's pies as DD and family return from Belgium tonight and it will be an easy meal for them. They've had a wonderful time and yesterday went to an amazing zoo not far from Brussels.
Will push on with things now. Hope everyone's day goes to plan12 -
Morning again - thanks @Ruby - I did hesitate in case someone else started the thread but it's so hard to tell!My jaunt to Glasgow was both successful and quick. I left here at 6.30a.m. and was back home at just before noon. The minor surgery was also successful. The GP was very jolly as was the chaperone nurse. I sat on the edge of the trolley thing as he knelt behind me doing the cutting. I've got four neat stitches which will be removed next Friday. There was really no pain yesterday whilst today it feels mildly uncomfortable though no analgesics have been taken yet. I 'rewarded' myself with a Turkish Delight, something I have always hankered after but not had one for years. It was extra tasty!Today will be slow. I did a little bit of shopping yesterday so am mostly stocked up. Apart from some supermarkets having reduced hours on Easter Monday all are open as normal. We don't have the Sunday shopping regulations here. I may have to light the woodburner and / or get under the electric throw.Hugs to all our poorlies and those who could simply use on. Take care all.11

Morning, seems quite bright today. I have an order coming shortly.Hopefully I am going into town later with DGD to look at some clothes for her Easter treat. She hasn't been well this week but said she felt better yesterday - we haven't seen her over the Easter hols. We'll pick her up, and DH will leave us to it in town! DGS is going to his pals house today, then he and DS2 will be off to training after tea.Have a good day, delivery van here:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all! Sunny so I'd better get the washing machine on.ended up moving some roof tiles and stuff out of the way yesterday and fetching my prescription followed by a sm trip to stock up on cheap veg and meat for the freezer. Today I have a delivery of root trainers for my seed sowing and a return of a garden cart . The first one came in damaged packaging and I wasn't going to unwrap it and build it only to find the last bit damaged so they can take it back. I oredered another one, and have been using that, it's marvellous. Don't know why I didn't get one earlier, it's a lot easier on the arms than a wheelbarrow. Is this the slippery slope of aids? Though to be honest, if it helps me carry one doing stuff I want to without waiting for help, it's all good...I also mended [ well, glued] my potting table up to last hopefully another year..Ruby, hope Rob has some fun today, he must really be enjoying himself where he is now. Fingers crossed he can stay there. Gers, sounds like a quick and easy job, gosh, haven't had a Turkish Delight for years...I'm thinking I'll want one in a few weeks once the thought has percolated
Izzy, if she wants you there then don't worry about it. You're helping both of them really. Rosy, have a lovely shopping event
Topsy, I did laugh at you planting seeds with your left arm as if it were not the right arm to be planting with...shame about the doc letter situation though, threaten a complaint if you don't get your note today.. Nanny, well done on surviving the onslaught
Yorkslass, hooray, the boiler is good for another year.. SO, enjoy the walk, you sound incrementally brighter these days...Take care all, hope it's a good one for you...

Morning all, thanks to @Gers (and @Ruby!) for starting us off. Yesterday's weather wasn't as bad as forecast after all, dull with a little bit of drizzle, but nothing awful. Today the sun is shining and should be with us all day with a gentle breeze.
Yesterday turned into a brain fog day and I felt really tired so didn't get done what I'd planned to do but never mind, there's no rush. I made some bread and also a tub of pasta salad that turned out to be a happy mistake; I usually add pesto but mistakenly used green Thai curry paste - the two jars are next to each other on the shelf, same size/shape and filled with green stuff. Fortunately it tastes fine!
I need to pop out for some eye drops, not sure whether to go today or tomorrow as the dresses I ordered are "on their way" - according to the tracker they arrived at the local depot in the early hours of this morning. I'll hang fire until lunchtime to decide. I also have an item to collect from Argos that I can pick up at the same time. Tea tonight is a couple of gammon slices, egg and rosti potatoes. The rosti is a packet mix that I picked up YS earlier in the year, edible but not fantastic. Perhaps OK as a cupboard standby but I'll not buy it again.
@Izzy - My thoughts are with the lady you clean for (and her DH), it's a stressful situation but you being there will bring some normality to her day.
@SO - Enjoy your walk, I'm pleased to hear you've stuck with it.
@Gers - Glad your minor surgery went well and that you enjoyed your "reward". A little of what you fancy ....
@-taff - That garden cart sounds a handy bit of kit, I'm sure it will get used a lot - you're always so busy "doing" things. And if it helps you to carry on being busy, all the better.
Time to make a move so I'll send hugs for the Poodles and wish everyone a good day. Take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
Good morning
After a bright start it's now clouding over, but no rain is forecast for us. Yesterday was a very chilly wind.
I went shopping, managed to get a leg of lamb and a beef joint, plus bargain veggies, although the shops looked as though they had been ransacked. Today will be spent preparing the veg for freezing. That's all I've got on today, although that can take a while. Dont know what's for tea tonight, but there's plenty in.
Have a good day whatever you're doing, hugs to all who need. Take care.11
