My dad grows these babies in the garden. In the summer there are millions of them.....and Dad makes me pick them. I in turn make my gf pick them.....hehe...genius!!A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

i like all nuts/dried fruits but these taste like chewing metal0

These were on a special offer at Julian Graves in the summer - about £1.50 for 125g. They tasted foul on their own, but we came up with the idea of soaking them in some gin that was in the cupboard. They tasted amazing - none of that awful aftertaste, everyone liked them after that. :rotfl:Don't eat and drive, though...0

I started eating them about a year ago when I gave up sweets and have stuck to it religiously since then.
I was told at the age of 5 that my eyes were never going to heal, there was nothing they could do to improve them and I'd eventually go blind in at least one eye before I turned 60.
The ONLY THING I changed about my diet was cutting out sweets and introducing sugar and when I went for my eye check-up she was 'amazed' because my eyes had started to heal!
My eyes had been getting steadily worse (sometimes very quickly) and I hadn't been wearing my glasses.
The actual change in my eyesight was beyond what she could have expected and my glasses strength was reduced to accommodate for it.
So there we go...
I'll be buying a paper!!!!!!!!!! I've never paid £5.19 for a 150g bag though?! I usually pay £3 for 250g.
do you eat them on their own ? or use them in recipes / cooking ?0 -

Hello!
Goji Berries are packed full of Vitamin C - all berries are high in antioxidants.
I have checked the Holland and Barrett website and a 75g pack is £2.75. I think plain Gojis are ... 'a select taste (!!)... lol. I find the nicest way to have them are dipped in Chocolate from Julian Graves. Julian Graves have a pack of 125g of Sundried Gojis for £1.99 at present in their sale. They come in Yogurt dipped and Dark Choc dipped and they are about £2 for 200g in their sale. They often have sales and their jelly babies are fantastic too.
Hope that helps someone! And congrats to Fluffyhelen for regaining her sight!Debt as of 20th Aug 2009 -£6600 and falling :j0 -
Last week i bought some Goji berries which are very delicious and i like them a lot. These Goji berries have a number of vitamins, and minerals that are packed into tiny red raisin sized fruit. Goji berry extracts help control, and in some cases even reversing age related blindness. Consuming goji berries on a daily basis will ensure that you and your loved one live a long healthy, happy life.

Is it not more likely that the reduction in sugar in your diet is responsible?0 -

I have never tried them, but today bought them half price in Julian Graves [1.99], my main reason was to get the seeds & grow my own as I believe this is easy to do
From a TV programme a bit since ,Gardeners World, it seems they may be over rated & ordinary hedgerow blackberries contain more beneficial itemsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
