Morrisons Saver stamps

Hi, I need some advice.
have found some old Saver Stamps (£97) on an “old school” savings card. The ones you had to lick and stick! My Mum who passed away gave me them years ago, but as I don’t live near a Morrisons I haven’t used them. However, £97 was a fortune my Mum because she was buying them from her State Pension and I would feel bad if I didn’t get to use them.
Anyway, I phoned Customer Service and he said they have a finite life and they may be out of date but there is no date limit in the Terms and Conditions on the back of the card. He said to take them to a large store, and they would let me know if they would accept them, but that would mean an 100 mile round trip. You cannot phone the actual stores anymore. Please let me know your thoughts. Mine is that the money was paid in good faith, they are not defaced in anyway and there is no expiry date on the card. Had there been, I would, of course have made a point to redeem them before that. It doesn’t seem fair a Pensioner effectively lending her £97 to Morrisons for years if they don’t let me use them
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well I cant speak for Morrisons, but I also found the Sainsbury version of those stamps in a booklet, these too had long been replaced by the swipe card version. They did exchange them for a gift card at the service desk instore. I had to go to one in the west end as there are no stores near me. But I never phoned, I emailed so I had something in writing. I would email Morrison and hopefully you get a better reply.0
