Solar Quote

Hi new to the forums and after any advice regards a quote I have had for solar.

It is for an 18 panel system, I was recommended to use micro inverters.

 18 x JAM54D41-445/LB 445 Watt panels (JA Solar)
 18 x IQ8AC-72-M-INT [25 year warranty] (Enphase Energy Inc.)
 2 x IQBATTERY-5P-1P-INT (Enphase Energy Inc.)
 1 x BAT-HAZ-PACK

Total system price approx. 16k

Many thanks for any advice.

That's insanely overpriced - looks like a quote from Octopus Energy?

For your perspective, 2 of the installers I use to help other forum members offer:

    18 X Eurenor 500W Bifacial panels
      1 X Tesla Powerwall 3 (13.5kW) with Gateway 2

£13.5K installed with Bird netting/ G99/ 10 year workmanship warranty included. Superior panels with a 12.5% larger system size, a 35% larger battery capacity with far better specs for £2.5K less = Win!

If your roof suffers from significant shading, Tesla is incompatible with microinverters or optimizers. In that instance, SolarEdge may prove a better option for you.

    18 X Eurenor 500W Bifacial panels
    18 X SolarEdge optimizers
      1 X SolarEdge 10kW inverter (20 year warranty)
      1 X SolarEdge 10kW battery

    £13.7K installed. Same as above.

In both instances, significant savings. I hope this helps you!

    -  10 x 400w LG Bifacial + 6 x 550W SHARP BiFacial + 2 570W SHARP Bifacial + 5kW SolarEdge Inverter + SolarEdge Optimizers. SE London.

    -  Triple aspect. (33% ENE.33% SSE. 34% WSW)
    -  Viessmann 200-W on Advanced Weather Comp. (The most efficient gas boiler sold)
