Credit card debt Scotland

I currently have two credit cards, around 2k, with link Financial.
Both defaulted in April and june of 2020. I've had no written correspondence with them. They only contact me for one of the debts, sending a quarterly statement.
How likely are they to take legal action and, am I right in saying they would only have until end of June to do so?
Unsure where to go from here, or if just wait it out.
All advice welcome.

When did you cease payments to these accounts?

Because the Prescription and Limitation (Scotland) Act 1973 is a great piece of legislation.

Unlike the rest of the UK,
the five-year period begins when loss arises and when the breach of contract or negligent act or omission has occurred.

So basically the last time you either paid or acknowledged the debt in writing, would be the cause of action date here, not necessarily the date of default.

I`m guessing you stopped paying these long before the debts defaulted, in which case they will already be prescribed.

The other difference is that in England it just becomes unenforceable. In Scotland it is extinguished, no longer exists and that is the end of it.

I would wait until July and then send this
