Most mortgage broker firms and IFAs are small local firms of 1-5 advisers.     So, would have a similar internet footprint to your local butcher.

Small firms, in general, have the best reputation for service and quality as they don't operate as factory line services that target their staff to go through x number of people a day.  So, take a look at your local independent firms and you will probably find most of them will do a good job.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

Thank you for your reply dunstonh. That is good advice and I’ll take that approach.

I agree with Dunston. The chances of anyone on here having used a local broker in that area is probably quite slim.

I was just having a think about our customer base and only about a quarter are within maybe 10 miles.
