used to buy our cat food online from Zooplus.  Great because the prices were good and the delivered which meant I could take advantage of multibuys on the cat litter too.

toilet rolls I get from Lidl but there's only 2 adults, no kids here so we don't need loads.  but to me it's the best price for the quality.

  • Hi,

I use the 'Trolley' App, and have just checked the cat food brand my cat has. There is a £4.25 difference in price on one 3 kg bag from the cheapest to most expensive!
I predominantly shop at Aldi, with a bit of Sainsbury's thrown in, and I take advantage of their Nectar prices.
I don't check for everything on 'Trolley', but I bulk buy teabags, as we like a particular brand.

I am lucky, as I have a lot of choice where I live as to where I can shop and I also don't have to rely on public transport.

I just wait till one of the supermarkets have offers on & stock up then.

Would your cats eat home cooked food?

Depends on the cat of course.  Not all like home cooked.

We had one that liked croissants and caesar salad.  Not together of course.  Then again if you put the anchovies on the croissant he probably wouldn't have minded.

    Loo rolls - Farm Foods

Good prices for buying in bulk and easily available vouchers for further savings

Washing up liquid - Lidl do plastic refill packs - maybe 2 litres - which works out quite cheap for decent stuff

Washing powder - don't use it but I notice Morrisons own brand doesn't cost much

Dog’s good quality dried food, 12kg sacks. A timely reminder, I got 12+2kg for £47.99, £3.43/kg, including delivery, direct from the company. (They have 15% off first orders.) That lasts our cairn cross about five months. It suits her digestion. I use a scoop to avoid giving too much and she gets some safe food scraps.

Eco washing up liquid 5 litre refills. W & partners £12.50. We used to get it on offer at Am but now they think it is Food and want a £40 order for free delivery!

I make the laundry liquid a bucketful at a time for under £2.

We bought a box of 40 WGAC recycled loo rolls from a company we would like to support, but won’t do so again since we learned that they come all the way from China. We buy large packs of supermarket British made ones, and keep several months supply in case people start panic buying.

I stock up on things we will use when they are on special offer.
5kg bags of sugar are a bit cheaper, Mr T £5. It will be the main jam making season very soon.
16kgs sacks of bread flour collected for us from the mill.
25kg sacks of quality chicken feed for about £14.50 when we are passing the farm feeds company. The eggs sales cover some of the cost.

we get out toilet rolls from Naked paper at first I was doubtful that would last any longer than buying from the supermarkets but was pleasantly surprised.  https://uk.nakedpaper.com/tools/recurring/login?redirect=customer_portal/overview

I also check Discount dragon regularly for offers (some item are past best before date)
Amazon have good offer on 5 litres of washing up liquid I buy 4 when at a good price then it last me a year.
Buy sacks of flour direct from the mill and get it delivered. Wessex mill https://wessexmill.co.uk/

Thank you for the link @pinkladyvenus The wholemeal bread flour is a good price. Sains has had stoneground wholemeal at £1.50 for 1.5kg for several years.
