ACI closed accounts (irresponsible/ unaffordable lending)

Options
Hi everyone.

I have two debts sold on to ACI. These debts were originally for updraft loans. I have managed to have an irresponsible lending claim upheld by updraft. This was in October last year. I have been going back and forward with ACI as they kept pestering me for the money I was originally due. With the claim being upheld I still owe money. However, today I have received emails from ACI stating that they have reviewed the information and have decided to close my accounts and will not contact me any further, they also will update my credit file . Do you think this means it will go back to the original creditor? I have heard nothing from the original lender since October.

Thanks

Yes I think that's what's happening - that the debts go back to updraft.  Whether they will then contact you is hard to say.

Yes I think so. They are just debt collectors for the original creditor.

The only thing that sounds odd is them amending your credit file. I think the original creditor would have to do that.

Thanks just wondered if anyone had anything similar.

My credit file is already amended by updraft as part of my complaint, they removed negative information and default and there entry on my report. So on my credit report just now I have Perch ( which is owned by ACI). I have checked all three reports.

Did you hear anything more on this? I also have upheld complaints with Updraft and it was passed to ACI, but they had the incorrect balance as the interest hadn't been removed, they referred it back to Updraft in January for correction and said they would be in touch once they have verified the total balance, but I've had silence since, its making me nervous not hearing..
