Friend is with BT internet and landline paying a post April £34.42 for BB and £9.18 for 700 mins per month which they never went any where close to. On line they were offered £29.99 for BB but could not keep the 700 min package, only PAYG at £3 or UL at £12. Decided that as the overall cost with UL was cheaper and would continue to be so they switched. The confirmation page gave the £29.99 / £12 and £41.99 total. E-mail arrived showing only UL phone and on line account showed the same. BB account still showing old rate and orders page is showing an error. The £29.99 upgrade option is no longer showing and now shows the current £34.42 cost and "package cannot be renewed", only offering a £37.99 upgraded service. So instead of making a saving they are having to pay more for something they did not need.
Now got to go through the pain of speaking to them !

I too am stuck with paying unlimited calls at £12. They are trying to get people to stop using landlines whilst still making them have to pay for having them. It is all about the new "wiring" that means landlines no longer work if the power goes out. It is likely to cost them too much with those of us who are vulnerable so they are trying to get us off the landlines. A losing game unless someone can improve the mobile signals.I would love to know why my signal is better outside the working day & also in the school holidays.0

They phoned up and the reply was pretty much "tough, nothing they can do about it". They said they could cancel the UL but wouldn't get the 700 back as they don't do it any more and the internet package is not available. They have got to decide what to do now as there is no other option apart from BT as they are out in the sticks with only 3 mb ADSL which no one else will provide.1

The BT CS has re-contracted them at full price £36.99 !! Seems like a repeat of another thread on here where OP reported a hardware fault and CS re-contracted them.Today the offer at £29.99 was showing again. Pressed the button and it went through. Kept a copy of the on line contract screen but e-mails arrived later with full contract details at £29.99 so it looks like it is all sorted no thanks to the couldn't care less BT CS staff.0
