You can just ignore them now, the only time you should respond is if they send you a letter before action. There is a good chance they won't ever be able to produce the ccs, but they want you to think they might so you get scared and make them a payment. Unfortunately you will have reset the statute barred clock by making them an offer, so keep quiet from now on.0

Don't answer any phone calls, or texts and E Mails ( block all numbers ) If they send a letter by snail mail come back for advice.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0

Its probably so they can finish the letter by saying thst collections have been resumed to try and scare you into paying (ie just telling you it was unenforceable would be a relief but if they then go on to say that collections have been resumed it leaves you feeling scared) These companies are very devious and will try any trick they can think of.Autumnia said:Thank you both for your help.
Why do they offer to stop collections while they investigate and then once they know it is unenforceable they still ask for repayment and tells me the contract was broken because I reduced my payment a few months back?
