Morning Gers and all to follow
Looks to be a nice day again although still chilly in the mornings, we had a lovely walk yesterday and we took the dogs as Dd came and took them in her car, I can’t take them in mine when I have clients as the dogs get so excited and climb all over everyone and Rupert is not keen on dogs.
I have to phone Robs Dr this morning as his skin problem is back it’s some kind of a rash but with huge red spots, I’m hoping the gp will just prescribe him what he had last time but they may want to see him again.
DD make spag bol last night so we will have the pork chops tonight with cubed potatoes and a corn 🌽 on the cob, delicious.
Washing to hang out before I go to work and a quick tidy.
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's dry but cloudy here. We've had some lovely sunny days though.
I went to a nearby shopping centre yesterday and bought a couple of pairs of jeans, I wear them a lot and my old ones are only for for gardening in now.
Not much happening today but I have jobs to do here.
Izzy you gave me a much needed laugh about your friend's husband who doesn't do smiling - what a miserable so and so! Hope you enjoyed your meet up anyway.
Did you get your hair done TA? Hope you still have some.
Coxy you're doing really well, hope you're enjoying all that walking - we used to say we would do that when our family grew up and we had the freedom, but of course we didn't. Now we're too decrepit.
Dp1, hope the little one is ok.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.

Morning allLooking a bit cloudy out there today. I haven't suffered with hayfever for a few years now, until the last few days. Luckily DH's partner had some antihistamines so they are keeping it at bay at the moment. Strange that some years I have no symptoms at all and other years I suffer. All quiet here, fed the dogs and cat before I made my breakfast so am breakfasting in bed with a peaceful trio!Hope your DGD's sugar stay on an even keel Dp1Hope everyone has a good day x9

Morning again folks - it's chilly here too though the weather is promising much.Yesterday I had glorious drive down to meet up with Camelot. We had a tasty breakfast and a good old chin wag. Early on I noticed that my Dad's wedding ring (which I wear) had dropped off my finger.
Camelot went out into the car park to look but it wasn't there. After we finished she left her phone number with the cafe in case it turned up. As I took my jacket off the back of the chair the ring was lurking against the wall.
Phew! It needs a spacer on the inside, I had one put on years ago but it broke off recently so it's an urgent task.
Once again the drive home was simply beautiful. Californian blue skies and still mirror-like lochs. I stopped off at Loch Fyne Oyster Bar for a comfort break, a takeaway coffee and some fab eggs. It's the good weather which makes living in such a remote place worthwhile during the storms and rain. I missed two accidents by minutes so hit it lucky as the road was closed in both places for ages. The towel wash I had hung out before leaving was bone dry so a good day all round.Today is ready to be filled up. Meanwhile, hugs to all.10 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Another glorious start here and it felt warm enough to leave the heating off for the first time this morning.
I got all my chores done in the morning yesterday and then spent a lot of the afternoon sitting out in the back garden reading. It felt lovely, I had my hair cut early doors in the morning and stressed that I only wanted the tiniest bit off the ends. She took me at my word but it's still back to feeling too short again! I think the answer will be to miss the next cut and let it grow a bit.
All being well I am meeting DF for lunch, postponed from yesterday. We are hoping it won't be ultra busy now it's school hols. Her DH has got his appointment at the private clinic for next week. That's a bit better than the "up to 12 month" wait for the NHS appointment!!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning all, it' sunny again! brilliant...Today is the day I go and see to the upstairs toilet. A friend came round eysterday so we went out and about shopping, getting passport photos done [ her] , shopping
Didn't buy much, mostly goodies from M&S, made polpette, there's a few left today and some coleslaw, so I'll find something to eke it out for us later on. Not got much definitively planned for today, gardening of some kind, DIY of some sort, that's about it...
Gers and camelot, sounds like a productive catch up and well done for finidng the ring! coxy, hope your trainers are holding up or boots? Yorkslass, how's the decorating going? dp1, good to hear she recovered, it must be very scary for you all when things go wrong. Izzy, leisure time will definitely grow on youTA, enjoy the catch up..Ruby, does Robs living arrangements not include some kind fo medical review or similar? Hope you've been paid back now too...Take care all, enjoy the sun if you have it, warm tops if you don't!

Morning all, thanks for starting us off @Gers. We've had early morning mist again today but it soon burned off and the sun is back. Temperatures are dropping a little bit - highs of 13 deg today - but I'm happy it's dry and bright.
All planned jobs got done yesterday including giving the outside of the cooker a good clean - that wasn't on the list but it's another task done and dusted. I had a short walk too and noticed the invincible dandelions are out already - bright, cheerful and loved by the bees (not so much by gardeners), plus a couple of very large bees and even some butterflies. Right now there is a magpie - a juvenile, probably from last year's brood - making a one-tone whistling noise as he follows mum around begging for food but she's having none of it. Much as I love to hear the birds singing, this is very annoying and, believe me, he can keep it up from dawn till dusk!
The decorating supplies are being delivered today via two different couriers, one in the next hour and one sometime before 1.30 pm. Other than opening the parcels to check everything is there, I'll not be unpacking the contents just yet but will need to find a space for the boxes and I'll potter around doing little jobs while I'm waiting. First "potter" is to rummage through the freezer to find fish fingers for tea - they're in there somewhere!
@Ruby - Sorry to hear Rob's rash has come back.
@Chrisca - Apparently the tree pollen this year is bad, maybe that's why the hayfever has smitten you.
@Gers - Glad you found the ring.
@TA - If your hair is anything like mine, it will soon grow and it won't belong before it's in need of a cut again.
@-taff - It'll be a while before I make a start on the decorating (a) lots of prep first (b) will need to "book" DS's assistance!
Right, time to get a move on. Best wishes to all for a good day, take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Morning all, it's another bright day.
Yesterday more garden clearing/tidying happened including the breaking up and disposal of 4 old fence panels which had been leaning against the shed for quite a while.
I'm feeling very tired so it will be a day of rest today. There's some pasta bake leftover from yesterday so that's earmarked for my tea, Mr Fix It will have something with chips, probably.
Have a good day everyone, take care all.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8 -
Good afternoon
A quick one from me. Yesterday DH took our neighbour for her hospital appointment. They had only been home an hour when neighbours husband came running round. She had collapsed. Ambulance called, and mrs next door is in hospital having more tests. It's frightening how quickly the situation developed. More hospital runs for us.
No idea what's for tea, just playing it by ear and helping out where we can.
Take care all.
