Moving Money from Cash ISA into S+S ISA

Options
Let's say I already have £25k in a cash ISA saved in previous years.  I can move that sum to a S+S and I still retain my current year's £20k allowance for further investments?  In other words that movement between ISA types doesn't "count" towards this year's allowance?
Thanks.

Correct (for most accounts), just make sure you apply in the S&S ISA to have it transferred, don't take it out of the cash ISA.

Yes. Just ensure the provider of the S&S ISA accepts transfers-in and instruct them to initiate the transfer. Relevant questions will be asked during the application process.

Thanks both.  Yep, 100% about not taking it via cash.
