Will a remortgage conveyancer see specific details about council tax during a remortgage application

Hi, juat a query really,  but what can a lender/conveyancer see in property checks about council tax? I.E can they who is  liable for council tax on the property, name and info etc?

    Hi, juat a query really,  but what can a lender/conveyancer see in property checks about council tax? 
    They can see the current bands, past bands and if there is a rebanding pending on sale which happens when an extension is built (rebanding only happens on sale, not when an extension is built or approved).
    I.E can they who is  liable for council tax on the property, name and info etc?
    They could only see that if they were supplied with the council tax bill.

    Why are you asking this question? It seems like there is an actual question you want an answer to but for some reason you are asking a different one to try and triangulate an answer.

    I'm pretty sure they can't, because lots of people pay other family member's council tax to help them out. Who is responsible for it and who actually PAYS it don't have to be the same person. Also, the resident has the liability so the lender may ask you who lives there and will assume that is the liable person
  • Im debating remortaging with additional borrowing, and wondering if it may break down upon checks regarding council tax arrears in the past, the house was a parents before i inherited ,  on the it myself.

    Councils do not usually disclose CT payer info to third parties.
