Small Pot decline - when this year

So was looking at access to a lovely jubbly £10K small pot, which overall fund that it would be sliced from (HL SIPP) now down circa 9.5% so roughly a grand less if access made now following market slump from global tariff reactions.
How long is a bit of string - who knows. I am reasonably hopeful of a fairly early; say turnaround of 5-7% upward return on markets over next few weeks - or am I being too optimistic.
Nobody likes dropping a grand and if I need to wait few months on recovery or partial recovery then that's ok. What's the thoughts out there on recovery?

Do you need to access the money? Don't assume you will only have to "wait a few months" for a recovery if you do.

I'd be more optimistic of further falls as the reality sinks in of the permanent financial damage that's been caused.2

yup all unknowns for the future - no desperate need and got 11 months to put in for this year tax reasons. Perhaps the thing will fall more and putting in now is minimising loss, however, I am fairly optimistic we have bottomed out or close to it and market will rise close to existing in 2-3 qtrs so will risk the biscuit and hold out for rise back up.0
