    silly thing!

in this day and age anyone who pays >£500 for a laptop must be really stupid!
decent laptops can be had for just £233 (and that is NEW from Dell)
the residuals on laptop is phenomenal your £1200 laptop will in tweleve months be just £400.
more money than sense? you are most definately not a MSE if you can spend £1200 on a laptop!

My laptop cost about £1300, don't dare say someone has more money than sense if they buy one for this price. Granted I would never pay that much for one in PC World but for me a £500 ish laptop is NOT decent (or even close) for what I use it for. Please be careful before you make such sweeping statements unless you understand the hardware market.
Out of my mind. Back in 5 minutes.

Thanks everyone for your opinion. I will give it a go. i think there is no harm in trying.

Thanks Amalea. Iam glad that someone understands me. Those who considered me stupid will change minds when they use a computer that costs more than £1000. PC world may not have been the right choice. but the computer, certainly is the best choice.

Geez a few harsh responses :-)

Unfortunately technology prices, as mentioned, can drop anytime and obviously there has to be a cut off point. By all means try having a go but honestly I wouldn't say the chances of getting anything out of them were high so I wouldn't go out of your way to visit PC World specifically for that.

I would certainly say that there's nothing stupid about paying that amount for a computer, it all depends on the specs and what you want to use it for.

    Good luck!
  • I bought a hardrive from them last week (PC World), cost me £199. Used it for about 6 dayz and took it back, I was suprised how easy it was to get a refund on it especially since it wasnt faulty - it just didnt do what it said on the packaging was what I said to the returns assistant, she refunded with no questions asked even though it had clearly been used.
