Hi
I have been servicing a debt of £7k with Moorcroft. They recently requested a new I&E, and i have had to reduce the payments by about £3, due to increases in rent and Council tax. Their reply has been " Our client has said your repayment falls outside their guidelines " Which to me sounds like they don't accept it. I cannot pay them more, i am disabled, and on benefits, and due to my condition , i will never be able to work again.
They asked me to phone (I will not, and they have been told i will only communicate via snail mail. I plan on just paying the new figure, which clearly shows what i can afford, Am i ok doing that or can they force any action, despite my payment. Mind you it would look pretty bad for them i should think if they tried to take any action, as i am paying what i can.
Any advice appreciated.

Just pay them the £3 then.
If you want to engage, ask them for a copy of their client's guidelines.
Unlikely to exist.
Are you in Scotland?1 -
who is the lender, what sort of debt is this, what is the balance and what are you paying them now?
do you have other debts as well, are you paying them in full?1 -

Moorcroft only manage their clients debts, so they have no authority to enforce anything, they cannot take legal action as they are not the debts owner, so they are powerless to do anything except reiterate their clients wishes.
I honestly don`t know why anyone engages with the likes of Moorcroft at all, they are simply a 3rd party interloper with no authority whatsoever.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
