Cash in SIPP - counted 2024/25 tax year?

This may sound like a silly question. If you paid in to a SIPP today (5th April) that is showing as available to invest/cash value, is it still counted as paid this tax year? Or does it have to be invested in a fund by midnight?
Thank you.
Thank you.

It counts when it is in the SIPP, you can hold bare cash, it does not need to be invested.

And if you're not paying into a scheme that gives you immediate tax-relief then that when eventually added will also count as being for this tax-year i.e. 2024/25.1
