Just to confirm, There's no way to get an NI 18-digit reference no from the robot web-chat?

I just want to be sure about this.

The web-chat can't give me a reference number for voluntary contributions.
It can only connect me to an advisor, which at the moment, probably isn't any more possible than on the phone?
Or were the times I tried just unfortunate?

The only thing to do is wait for a call back?
Which isn't a massive problem, I just wanted to be clear for peace of mind.

I got my 18 number reference number from an web chat advisor last year.  I discovered that route after initially being connected to the robot web-chat. The web chat advisor was very efficient and gave me all the information I required.
If I remember correctly I found my way to the web chat advisor after finding the robot web chat advisor. It was certainly much quicker than by phone.

My long standing argument with this beaurocratic nonsense is why we need 'an 18 digit reference number' in the first place. I've registered online and they have their pound of flesh, but we have to ask them for an 18 digit reference number we then have to quote back to them. 

It is like going back to my youth working in the Civil Service. 'Have you got your 12 digit reference number or I can't help you, even if you are 94'.
