Have I made the 5 April cut-off deadline?

Please help calm an anxious person…
I am a UK citizen who lived in the UK until graduating university. After graduation I moved abroad and have been living overseas ever since (about 20 years). Thanks to Martin’s media campaigns, I recently became aware that I hadn’t paid any NI contributions since then and have all the years since then missing, hence want to pay back all the years from 2006 onwards.
The Future Pension Service and HMRC lines are understandable overwhelmed at the moment and I haven’t been able to get through. I’ll keep trying until 5 April, but for the time being I’ve done both of the following:
1. Requested a call back from the FPS and have timestamped it by email for proof
2. Submitted a CF83 form to HMRC asking to pay back past years.
They’ll both clearly take longer than 5 April to get back to me, but does mean I should be able to pay back all the way to 2006 since I contacted them before the deadline? I honestly wasn't sure if I needed to contact the FPS, submit a CF83 or both so just did both.
Is there anything else I need to be doing? Apologies for the many questions, this is quite new to me and I’ve read as much as I can on here but want to be doubly sure.
Thank you sincerely to anyone who replies.

Refer to this article... you can get an extra month simply by going into pension forecast and clicking on the years you can top up.. Could buy you a bit of time like the call back request.

I guess my question is that, is that enough to extend the deadline or should I be doing anything else at this point?0 -
Those are the two methods of stopping the clock.0

I guess I will also receive a reply by letter in several months replying to my HMRC CF83 submission telling me how much I can pay back, and just hope that it still allows me to pay back all the way to 2006.
Thanks again. Nothing is likely to happen quickly I would imagine.0
