Hiya, I am looking to find lost pensions from previous employment - the trouble is I no longer have any info for the companies I worked for. I have also been to the GOV website to try and found it confusing - should I trust someone else to find them and if so who?? any input on this would be fab, thanks

Getting a complete list of former employers is a good starting point. See https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6267734/is-there-a-really-detailed-online-method-to-check-nics/p1 and especially my post of 15 May 2021. It's a long thread (sorry!) but worth reading. Even if you haven't been in 'contracted out' schemes, a SAR will give you your employment history, which will be no bad kicking off point.Estrella06 said:Hiya, I am looking to find lost pensions from previous employment - the trouble is I no longer have any info for the companies I worked for. You certainly don't need to pay anyone to track down your pensions. Once you have your employment history, perhaps try aviva pension find and combine Also worth registering (free) with gretel.co.uk
Be aware that there may not always be a pension to find, depending on whether your employer offered a scheme at all, and whether you were an 'active' member of the scheme for long enough to build up a right to a 'deferred' pension.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0
