MSE Poll: Have you had a flight upgrade?

Many airlines now sell upgrade capacity at the desk. So are the days of trying to sweet-talk check-in staff to get a free upgrade to premium economy, business, or first class, long gone? We want to know whether you've had an upgrade recently (IN THE PAST THREE YEARS) and how you bagged it.

I've had one however it was because they messed up and we had to return the next day to fly... wasnt even as an apology but what they claimed was the last seats available on the flight after we wouldnt accept being delayed over 2 weeks and having to fly to see family at Xmas after the new year. 

Not sure if thats "pre-check in" or something else as had checked into the original flight online beforehand. 


Other than that haven't had free upgrades but have had a couple of upgrades at a very low price compared to what they'd been emailing even up to a couple of hours before the flight (eg email offering £250pp but checkin offering it at €20pp)
