Hi all, I'm in the middle of a property purchase it's listed as band b and is end terraced.

I have seen on the gov website with the postcode that all property's on that postcode are band a except this one.

In that search there is another end terraced property that's is a band a

Do I challenge the band?

Is yes how is that done?

Also look at similar houses in nearby streets for confirmation that Band A is the norm for End Terrace rather than Band B and do check that your home isn't larger than the other ET..


Once you have bought the property you can make an online appeal within 6 months. You will need to submit reasons why you think your band is wrong but be aware estimated 1991 house prices from house price indices will not be accepted as evidence
