Good afternoon. I am currently a Civil Servant earning £12,000/year. I 63 years old I am in the Alpha Scheme contributing £45/month since I started in the role 5 years ago. I am in the fortunate position of being able to put more of my salary into a pension so can 'buy' more Alpha pension or alternately pay the funds into Vanguard 60/40 LS or similar.

Great question Marcon. I have the 'certainty' with Alpha already, so I guess I could pay extra into that and set up a SIPP as well0
