My wife has Temporomandibular disorder (TMD)
Temporomandibular disorder - NHS
Has anyone used a mouthguard to help with this and if it helped where did you get it from?

I have TMJ and got my first mouth guard from my dentist but it was quite expensive (£180 if I remember). It doesn't stop me clenching my teeth when I sleep but it does protect them from wear and tear. I recent;y bought a Sleep Right Dura-comfort goard from Boots, which was about £40, but you can get cheaper ones from a variety of places. Some have to be boiled to fit to the wearer's mouth, but the one I have bought doesn't. I can't comment on it's efficacy as I haven't used it yet.1

I got one from my dentist was £100 so not too bad compared to the previous poster. Again stops the wear of teeth but not the grinding and clenching.I have a follow up at the hospital next month where i am expecting to receive botox injections into my jaw.0
