It seems to be taking a while...

Hello to all,

I just seeking some thoughts if I may.

I ceased paying my creditors in August 2024 with a view to undertaking a self manged DMP.

I followed the various snippets of advice from learned participants of the forum. Alien as it was, having never missed a payment in my life, I decided that enough was enough.

Anyway, cut to the chase, I have nine credit accounts and four have defaulted thus far – they are all listed on Credit Karma (TransUnion).

They are listed with the default dates :

PayPal

      2nd December 2024

     £2529

Barclaycard

      27th December 2024

     £2423

MBNA

      13th January 2025

     £3666

Halifax CC

      7th February 2025

     £4714

My concern is nobody has written to me yet. I do open all paper letters and read them. Nothing so far saying that the debt has been sold, or the debt has been bought.

Nothing asking for payment.

Is it reasonably normal to take this amount of time?

I thank you all, as always for your constructive advice.
