Desperate Sea Worker - NI Contributions Help Please

Desperately asking for help with missing NI Contributions.
I work at sea and have done for several years. I have checked my NI contributions and am considering whether to pay those missing before the cut off date. However, these will be in excess of £10,000. I also have no immediate intention to live or work in the UK and may not return until I am of pension age. (I am currently 39yrs old).
Should I pay the missing NI Contributions?
Any advice would be gratefully recieved.
Thank you.

The problem you have is that there is a special system for mariners to pay NI which requires the filling in of forms etc and you are up against the clock for years up to 2018-19,What do you currently have - answer the following from your forecast and someone will make some suggestionsCurrent weekly £££.pp amount up to April 2024.
Number of full NI years 15-16 and earlier
Number of full NI years 16-17 and later
Tax year you reach state retirement
Any COPE amount. If you have "You've been in a contracted-out pension scheme" on your forecast then click
