Mistake on credit file, will Santander reject my mortgage?

Options
Hello FTB here. I got sale agreed on a house and applied for a mortgage through Santander, house has been valued and all going well until Santander asked for an Experian credit report (I use equifax to check mine) long story short, it turns out virgin media have been reporting to Experian that I am in arrears with them, due to an error that I was told was resolved long ago, and now my Experian credit score is under 500 and says I’m a high risk to lenders. I have sent my broker my credit files from equifax and clear score, as well as proof of virgin media saying this issue would be resolved on my credit report. Experian has also confirmed that they will leave a note on my file for lenders to see. Will Santander reject my mortgage now? I’m really worried because a mortgage rejection won’t look good and this is a mess-up by virgin!! Does anyone have experience of a similar situation? What was the outcome?

Tricky as lenders usually take what is on the credit report as gospel.
I would remove the notice of correction, that can cause more problems than it solves.

I cant speak specifically about Santander. But I think if you have a letter from Virgin confirming the mistake and they will remove it from your credit report that can only help. If it is a problem, there will be other lenders.
