How can I earn money quickly?

I need to earn money fast. How do I earn without going  through job applications and without selling stuff. It needs to be a reliable income. No online surveys.

Without wanting to sound harsh, if it was that easy, we'd all be doing it.

I assume you've followed this board and considered how others are boosting their income?

I have a good amount of skills, most of it related to IT e.g. basic html, excel, and online marketing I did years back.

I am looking to make income quickly, preferably in cash. I could do online marketing stuff but it takes time to build up an audience. I won’t mind doing surveys if they paid out reasonably (and consistently). It can be on the computer or physical work offline.

Are there any jobs I can find quickly ideally night work that pays minimum wage. I want to work more than the recommended 40 hours a week. I want to put in 60-70 hours

Care assistant. I have a friend who works at this and does 70 hours a week - her choice. They are always short staffed. You can't start on day one though, you need a DBS check and training

With respect, your mention of wanting to be paid in cash raises suspicions.  There are plenty of jobs out there, but no kosher company is going to pay you in cash.

Taxi driving ?  Very often you'll find that local minicab companies are looking for drivers, and the night shifts are often available.

But where? Will it be at an institution of some kind or at people’s homes? What kind of role will it likely entail?

The OP would be better off looking locally at job openings rather than posting the question on a national forum - this is OK for general ideas, but there's no point me saying I saw an ad for a local pub wanting bar staff as I've no idea where they are. I see lots of stuff on local FB groups wanting people, but they're usually either just badly-positioned (US people pretending they live in Manchester and offering driving jobs, usually) or outright scams, so watch out for that.

Care assistant will vary, I'd expect - it might range from visiting people to make sure they're OK, making them a cup of tea and having a chat, on to helping to get them in and out of bed and bath, dress them, take them to the toilet, apply medication or dressings, all sorts of personal stuff, hence the need for the checks. I don't imagine you can pick and choose, either. Some will be at the person's home, some will be in a care home, you'll know that when you go for the job. But if they don't want to go through a job application, this is a non-starter.
  • I got a quick job at a local hotel. Drafted a brief, polite email enquiring about whether they needed any staff and attached my CV and previous experience to the email. I was hired after a brief, rather informal interview, and they'd be happy to give me 60 hours a week if I wanted them! It's not cash work (but the bar staff do often get cash tips!) and it's min wage, but busy establishments are often in need of willing staff. Other hospitality jobs can be sought in a similar fashion.

Alternatively,  you could set yourself up as self employed and offer your marketing services to local businesses. This can be better in the long run but then again as you say it can take time.

You could also offer cleaning services, dog walking, etc, locally.

Offer work on somewhere like Fiverr.com? HTML or data work like creating reports from data in Excel? Offer to build websites for people (even using templates)? Work as a Virtual Assistant - help people organise their calendar/emails (set up rules etc).

Have a think of your IT skills that others might not have.
