Hi ,
I'm new and was wondering if anyone could help me ,
Lowell just sent me an email and put 6 accounts they want me to pay ,
Only one of them is sitting on my credit report and I think the others as I'd never made a payment have not appeared on my credit file and are really old some maybe 10 years
,
The one that is on my credit file says no payment since 2021 , and it says even though it's 7 years old they put it as "defaulted 2020"
So I'm thinking they are trying there best before it's 6 years and falls off my credit report
So I'm not sure If I paid any of it ,
I'm at the point in my life where I am struggling paying back money I borrowed from family to get my dog surgery she needed and not working at the moment,
I pay all of my direct debits on time , I want to better my credit score ,
Ive been battling cancer this last year and had a really stressful time and still am ,
Do you think I should reply to lowell and say I'll pay the one (that's on my credit report) offer them £10 a month ? Would that make my credit score better?
If so how do I go about replying to the email as they have 6 accounts on there ?
Really don't know how to approach this or what to do
Any help is much appreciated 👏

Forget your credit score it's a made up figure only you see, it's your credit report that counts.
Any default will stay on your credit report for 6 years ( assuming England or Wales ) whether it is cleared or not.
Do not reply to the E Mail and under no circumstances speak to them, wait till they send you a letter by snail mail and see what that saysIf you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.1 -
That's what I was going to post. If it's important they'll write
Sounds like all but one are statute barred and the final one is heading that way0 -
You need to avoid making written acknowledgement until this last debt is statute barred, if possible. If they write, please come back for advice. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
