National Insurance Records - still not up to date

I paid on line, from the HMRC website, for some years of National Insurance on March 5th (2025). My records have not been updated and its three weeks later. It is supposed to only take 3 to 5 days according to the receipt. Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks in advance.

I would suggest that 3 to 5 days is hopelessly optimistic at present. They're swamped with work from people who have had several years to get their admin squared away but have left it to the last minute.

2 years ago they were saying 5 weeks & they were less busy then.  I agree hopelessly optimistic.  End of April maybe.

A few years ago I waited and waited. In the end I called them and they did it while I was on the phone. If you call, do so at 8 am.

I used an 18-digit reference number obtained in October 2023. I paid by bank transfer using the HMRC website on 21 March 2025 and just noticed that my records are all up to date today. Thank you all!
