I received letters/emails from BW Legal for unpaid thames water bill. I passed it on to person responsible for bill which is in my name at my property. Cut a long story short person refuses to pay so I wrote to BW Legal explaining that as its in my name I will pay and proposed payment plan which i started in Feb 25. They applied for judgement but it was on hold and they specifically said in writing that i still had time to avert this. So I've made 3 payments from Feb 25 sent them income/ expenditure and lots of messages on their portal. They eventually wrote accepted payment plan etc but guess what proceeded with a ccj 17 March. Sneaky underhand and misleading. Any advice please?

From what I have read about Thames Water, that`s about standard practice with them.
How much was the bill for?

If you are on a low income you may get remission of the fee but you have a weak case for setaside

You should always respond to a court claim, to the court.0
