Unfortunately your only hope is the scheme that is hopefully coming in 2026 - I say hopefully as it was proposed under the last government and there has been nothing definite from this government.  When was the youngest child 12 ?

Thanks to all for their help, advice and suggestions... I got through to a HMRC person (just over an hours wait) and it turns out my wife got child benefit credits and we could apply for transfer using cf411 for up till 2010 and then form cf411a for after. Have done this and now will see.
