Injury

Options
Had what i would call a minor injury at work. Reported injury as required and treated myself as the only first aider on duty.Injury became infected (work in a decontamination area), sort medical advice and was put on antibiotics. Took time of work to avoid reinfection working in Decontamination. Got paid statutory sick pay. Infection cleared but return after starting work again. More time of work with statutory sick pay. Again after another course of antibiotics the infection finally cleared. Questioned my pay because the injury happened at work and was told that was policy. Pushed this question further and was told i should not of treated myself because a first aider cannot treat themselves and there is no record of my injury because i treated myself. Filled in all the first aid forms at the time of the injury. Plus i was the only first aider on duty and did ask management at the time if i should see to this myself. Their response was yes. Now apparently i did not ask them and the injury is not recorded as an accident at work. Only evidence i have is one e-mail to my line supervisor stating that i would not be at work because of my injury dated the day after the injury. There is no other record of injuring myself at work. Could not put injury information online through the company because all written forms have to go through management. Now 21 days pay short because of an accident at work, yes can live through this but it is annoying that policies are ignored, not implemented, Management probably didnt bother because it was just a minor injury at the time. Now i am just annoyed because not only are they saying i did not fill in a report which they ignored but i also disregarded company policy. Non of which is true and i lied.

You said you reported it as required. What did that involve? 🤔
