Many thanks @AnotherNewDay for the Lidl veg prices. Will bear that in mind.
Trying to stay out of the shops as much as possible at the moment, but I can see yoghurt and milk depleting.

Yes, thank you @AnotherNewDay for the offer info. I’ll stock up.
Quick topup in Sainsburys yesterday for fruit and a few other bits that were unavailable from Tescos, £9.15. And our Tesco delivery £101.52. Grand total spent so far £238.18/£650. I’m slightly under budget for the weekly shops (aiming for £130). Need to stay strong as the month goes on.6 -
A little top-up shop of £18.37 today takes me up to £102.15/£500. I took DS3 to the bus station early this morning to start his journey to Chile; he's away until 24th now so there are opportunities for a few savings. Also I am going to dent the contents of the freezer quite mightily; a) it needs defrosting, and b) I'm hoping to acquire some more of the amazingly good poultry when we're in Wales to bring back. Currently chasing secondhand table-top freezers for hauling them home, but also for late summer gluts & festive supplies. If no luck, I will buy new; the current freezer is quite a lot smaller than the old one (now a grain store) and I really could use a little extra space from time to time; there is a plug & space for it.Angie - GC April 25: £491.86/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 21/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)7

£20.21 spent today on Easter eggs, olive oil and tomatoes.
Our relatives have headed off home now so we're on eating up leftovers duties for the best few days. DS has had curry and naan bread and DH & I will finish the fried rice tonight. Tomorrow we'll need to use up the roast dinner leftovers.

Lots of tips on here... thank you!
Popped into Lidl today for milk, butter, tea, icecream, crumpets, hot cross buns, pita bread, stilton, yoghurt, bacon. It came to £45.56. So far my totals are £225.62/£300.
I've got a Tesco delivery booked for Friday... I know I'll be going over. Large half shoulder is half price (thank you for the heads up from a budgeteer on this thread x). Aerial detergent was £16 now £8.00, my favourite instant coffee 'L'or Intense' is on special, was £7.75 now £6.25 so I've ordered 3 which hopefully will last till the coffee is next on Special. After cashing in £9 worth of vouchers the receipt will be around £123.
My normal butter from Tesco has gone up again to £2.70. Luckily I found Lidl's sea salted butter just as nice for £2.19 of which I bought 6x 250g pats today.

Spent £8 yesterday on a curry, bhaji, samosas, pakora from a stall in the market where two lovely indian ladies guided me what to have as I said I loved the spice but couldnt take the heat. Curry will last me for at least two meals, it was a treat and it was delicious!
