Help - adjusted net income and 20% credit and 30 hours

hi can someone help me please.
I have been getting the 30 hours and 20% credit. I always make enough SIPP contributions to bring my income below £100k in any given tax year. However this upcoming quarter, HMRC have assessed that I will go over £100k. Having trouble with HMRC to change it in time for the April’s nursery payment. We have appealed on 7th March (after notification in late Feb) but struggling to get a straight answer. I was just wondering is there anyway to expedite it this week? HMRC says they have a backlog and they can’t get back to us until 21st April≥
also if i don’t get the appeal done in time, i assume i would have to pay the extra but can I claim it back retrospectively. Bit of a nightmare with HMRC.

Since the backlog will be made up of similar cases to yours it would be unfair for your case to be given priority over others in a similar situation.Best to ask HMRC about any refund of payments.0
