Council tax enforcement

Options
Hi
I am at the stage of council tax enforcement. The debt relates to single person occupancy discount from two years ago. I listed my current income and expenditure and made the LA an offer that they rejected?

Going forward, I cannot afford to pay in one go, do I just have to accept a monthly payment the LA will state? Is there any adjudication process or system to determine a fair payment please?

Be proactive and send the council your income and outgoings showing how much you can afford to pay.

In any case, pay what you can afford. The new 25/26 bills are due out and the council will be looking for everything to be clear by Mar 26

If your council is unhelpful run this past your councillor on

If the whole mess is unaffordable you need debt advice (if you have other debts)

Or you ask the council to write this off under s13a

    https://debtcamel.co.uk/section-13a-council-tax-write-off/

You say you are at enforcement stage. Have either of these things happened:

    Debt passed to bailiffs
Council applied for attachment to your earnings
