Adjusted net income and child benefit

Options
Dear all

Do child benefits count towards adjusted net income with regards to hitting the £100k threshold for reducing personal allowance. There seems to be conflicting advice on the HMRC website.

I am trying to work out whether I need to make extra pension contributions or not as I am only just over the threshold with child benefits but if they were not counted I would not need to make extra contributions.

Thanks

Child Benefit isn't taxable income and as such not part of your adjusted net income.

Where have you read something that suggests it is?
