Hello wise folks!
The IPC 056b form to state which years you wish to top up asks for it to be sent to HMRC in Newcastle.
The form to apply for your pension, send in birth & marriage certificates, IPC BR1 GOV NSP, is required to be sent to the International Pensions Centre in Wolverhampton (we live in Portugal). What could possibly go wrong?! You'd think they should go to the same point wouldn't you?!

Different agencies deal with different things. Topping up your NI record has no link to the mechanics of claiming that pension. You pay the tax collector, HMRC, and claim your pension from the benefits payer, DWP.1

Hello, Me again!
IPC SU 117 form.
On this form to indicate which tax years my wife wishes to pay voluntary NICs, part 2 is a receipt.
My wife's a perfectionist & she wants to know please:- Does she sign the receipt section or do HMRC?
- "Our reference number" - is this something HMRC put in, or one from a letter to her or simply her NI number please?
